Our shades are made to order by hand, which means each one takes time. From preparing the linen to assembling the final piece, we work with care to ensure the quality and finish meets our standards — and yours. The two-week lead time allows our artisans to complete each shade properly, without rushing the process.

You have a window of 48 hours from the time of placing your order to initiate a cancellation. If your order has already been shipped, we're unable to cancel it. However, you can still return the item following our Returns Policy.

Our shades are sold on their own, without electrical cords — but we’ve recently introduced a small curated range of cord sets that pair beautifully with our designs. You can explore our accessories range and choose the finish that best suits your space.

We carefully handcraft each Lumiere shade in our Bali studio, with thoughtful attention to detail. Because our pieces are made to order, we generally aren’t able to accept returns for change of mind or sizing issues.That said, we’re pleased to let our USA customers know that returns have become much simpler — items can now be sent back to our USA depot, without the complexity of international shipping.

To help ensure your shade is the perfect fit before you order, we recommend:

Our goal is for you to feel confident in your choice and fall in love with your shade the moment it arrives.

All our wall lights are sold as wall lights only and do not include electrical fittings.

To complete installation, you’ll need a compatible wall fitting, lamp holder, and bulb — your electrician will be able to provide these and ensure everything is safely connected to your home’s wiring.

For the best glow, we recommend using a warm-toned bulb — it really complements the natural texture of the linen. An E27 Edison-style bulb at 25 watts (220–240V) works beautifully and creates a soft, inviting light.

We do not offer customs sizes for retail clients. This service is available to our wholesale clients who purchase min order quantities.

At the moment, we’re not able to offer expedited shipping from Bali. All orders are sent via standard DHL international service, which is the most reliable option available from our studio.

We completely understand the excitement of wanting your shade quickly, but we appreciate your patience — everything we create is made with care and shipped as efficiently as possible from our island home.

Once your order is placed, your shade will usually arrive within 1–2 weeks, depending on stock availability.
As a small studio working with handmade pieces, we take care to keep you updated every step of the way. If there are any unexpected delays, we’ll be in touch — and we’ll always do our best to get your shade to you as soon as possible.

By default, all of our shades are fitted with a standard 4cm ring, which positions the bulb near the top of the shade — this creates a soft, ambient glow that spills gently downward.

If you prefer your bulb to sit lower, more centered within the shade (which can create a beautiful, balanced light) we now offer cable clip that adjusts the drop. You can purchase it on its own or as part of a bundle with your shade.

Yes, there is a slight difference between the 2 shades - 
The Empire shade has tighter rattan ribbing that the Luna shade. 

Yes! We've recently expanded our collection to include impressive 120cm shades. These statement pieces are available in both our Luna and Empire designs, perfect for creating a dramatic focal point in larger spaces.

No, not all of our shades come with internal frames. Seven of our designs include built-in frames that ship with your shade:

Our other designs intentionally feature an unstructured, organic shape that creates a softer, more relaxed aesthetic. These frameless shades drop naturally into shape.

Please don't worry! This is completely normal with our handcrafted linen shades. After being carefully packed for shipping, they may need a little time to settle into their intended form. Once hung, the shade will naturally relax and find its proper shape within a couple of days, allowing the linen to drape beautifully as designed.

If your shade came with a metal frame (also called a stretcher), don’t forget to install it! The frame is designed to hold the shape of the shade and should be fitted inside before hanging or attaching to your pendant kit.
